I did the tour with my 10 year old daughter and we both loved it. After a huge breakfast of pastries in the cafe we were taken down to the bakery where we were shown how to make baguettes, round loaves, croissants and financiers. We made our own and they were baked for us to take home at the end.

This tour was very interesting and the hands on experience of making baguettes, bowl bread, and almond cake, was so much fun for my daughters. You really get an experience of what it is like to be a baker and the outcome of getting to take home what you have created, was absolutely delicious! The bowl bread was my favorite and still warm with the most delicious cheese and wine from the stores near the bakery topped it all off. The family couldn’t stop eating!

The tour was exceptional - very entertaining and hands on. We made baguettes and boules and rolled croissants. Obviously, we did not mix the dough for the bread ourselves; it has to rise for some time before. But we did get to mix up some batter for madeleines. Both the guide and the bakers themselves were very engaging and entertaining. There were a couple of other families with us, but it was still a small enough group to allow everyone to do everything in the time available. We did not feel crowded or rushed. The breakfast was not just pain au chocolat, but rather large plates of pasteries for each family, including pain au chocolat - we could not finish it all. Overall, it was good value, and a very memorable experience. That said, it was a little bit pricey for a family of four.
