1. Hamburg: Ticket to the Panoptikum Waxworks

Discover the fascination between waxworks and reality at the Panoptikum in Hamburg – the oldest waxworks in Germany. Experience the fascinating world of wax, merging reality with fantasy, across 700 square meters. Meet more than 120 personalities from history, art, and politics as well as celebrities and superstars – all lifelike and closely replicated as wax figures. Whether Michael Schumacher, Queen Elizabeth II, Vitali Klitschko, Karl Lagerfeld, or Helmut Schmidt – they're all waiting for you! You can also discover the giant woman Mariedl with a height of 2.27 meters as well as a man with 3 eyes and other extraordinary people. The panopticum contains about 150 wax figure, most of them are international but about 25 are mainly for German visitors, some of them with relation to Hamburg like former soccer player Uwe Seeler or German pop star Udo Lindenberg. You can spend in the wax figure museum about an hour/ 90 minutes, then you have seen almost everything. Nevertheless I recommend a visit as the price is fair.

Nice atmosphere. The figures are integrated into suitable scenes. The newer figures look better. Everything is lovingly designed. At the checkout we would be offered to store the suitcases. That's great.

If you have a little time and listen to the information about the individual people, it's a great experience :-) We had a great start to the day there. thanks

The figures look really lifelike. Especially the representation of historical people on the top floor is really good!

Some of the figures were very lifelike, some were better, others not so well hit.
