Full description
A very special excursion, designed with a lot of thought and care. The excursion combines a series of stops which include numerous traditional villages, panoramic breath-taking views, abandoned copper mines, rugged on and off-road adventures and even an ancient monastery. Our first stop is at the Monastery of Ayia Thekla. The relevant tradition states that Agia Eleni arrived in the area where the monastery is today and prayed to God, at which time holy water began to flow from the earth, which refreshed her and her entourage. She then built a church above this point, which she dedicated to the First Martyr and Apostle Agia Thekli. The holy water exists until today and is used by the faithful, for the treatment of skin diseases and eczema. We then go off-road to find the unique Coppermine where you will have the opportunity to search for some crystals or even gold. Forgotten by man and time, our journey continues on to one of traditional little villages where we can enjoy a Cyprus coffee at the squares kafenio. A quick stop for some panoramic photos of one of Cyprus's many lakes. We continue for a visit to one of the most beautiful villages of Europe where free time is given to stroll through the tiny stoned streets of Lefkara and visit the infamous workshops of lace and silver. Our final stop is at the magnificent Governors Beach where you will be able to go for a refreshing swim, grab something to eat and drink before heading back to the hotels

Nice tour with a great guide. A lot of information regarding the vegetation was also given. (A caper bush therefore also required a stop on the hard shoulder of the motorway :)) For people who are prone to motion sickness, a light breakfast is recommended. (The switchbacks were really tough) For our taste, we would have liked to have had a little more time than the scheduled half hour to visit the charming little village. (Really very nice silver jewelry) The only drawback was the last stop at the beach: we didn't think it was worth seeing at all and we don't want to talk about the quality of the food here at all. This stop certainly needs to be reconsidered and revised. Possibly also good for planning: 6 hours were scheduled for this excursion and we were only back after 9 hours!!
