This tour was awesome. We were lucky to be the only ones, so had kinda like a private Tour. Dan was so so cool, he gave us many imformations and cared lovingly about us. First he drove us safe to the Panama canal boat, from where we seeked for monkeys and found them! We could even feed them. This part was really relaxing and it felt like we took plenty of time (didnt Check the watch) and were not in a hurry. After That we drove to agua clara, one of the locks. We had enough time to watch a ship crossing through the whole lock. Then we Went to the train station and had an awesome ride back to Panama City, where dan reached us and drove us Home safe. All in all one of the best trips we ever had!

Lively. Knowledgeable. Respectful. Recommended. Our guides from Barefoot, Tereza and Gonzo, had great rapport, were enthusiastic, and very engaging. Tereza was also kind with our ever curious elementary-age child. Tereza and Gonzo really knew their stuff. We loved that they shared stories about their personal experiences, individual animals, and the unique knowledge of the Wounaan people. They also showed warmth and regard for the people. We got the sense that they really work with them as partners. Which we appreciated. They were also respectful of the wildlife we encountered. We learned a lot and had a great day. Highly recommend the tour.

My husband and I had a great day with our guide, Mario, and his spotter Julietta (she was on the lookout for monkeys, sloths, etc.) I learned a lot about the history & geography of Panama. Saw the Aqua Clara locks, watched the short movie there and watched a large ship move through the locks from Gatun Lake. We loved seeing Fort Lorenzo and reading about the history there. Mario was a fun and knowledgeable host and guide. We saw both a two & thee toed sloth and a family of howler monkeys in the tree tops, two types of hawks and an iguana. Our group was small, 6 guests, and were picked up at our hotel. Perfect day!

This tour was wonderful - Cesar, our guide, followed all safety protocols which made us feel at ease. Cesar gave us extensive history and facts on the Panama Canal, the Canal Zone, and other interesting tidbits on Panamanian history throughout the tour. He was also very knowledgeable about the different animal and plant species we encountered on the tour, and made sure our Monkey Island visit was memorable! We boated by different locales searching for different species, and he and our boat captain did a great job spotting different animals and giving us facts about each one.

Had a fantastic day, long bus ride but the talk from the guides made it enjoyable - Mario made it funny and not boring to listen! The fort was beautiful and Juliette is the best sloth spotter of them all!! All three guides were great, good enthusiasm and good information. Hurrah.
