We spent a nice day with our driving guide Raj. First we went to Port Louis to the Caudan Waterfront and from there to the Botanical Gardens in Pamplemousses. In the botanical garden we booked the tour with a guide from the garden for €2 pp and learned a lot about the flora of Mauritius. On request, we went shopping at a seamstress in Floreal and bought pashminas and a T-shirt. We drove over the mountains of the highlands to the Grand Bassin and the Hindu temple Ganga Talao. Raj introduced us very well to Hindu religion and mythology and helped us understand the sacred place and not see it as a tourist attraction. All in all, we were very moved by the honorable atmosphere and the singing. As a last stop, we visited the seven-colored earth in Chamarel and were back at the hotel around 5:00 p.m., exhausted and happy. Raj was a very good guide!

The tour was great Guide was waiting at confirmed time and spot. Raj was incredibly kind, helpful and knowledgeable, a pleasure to drive with him. In one day you see the highlights of the island. Highly recommend for solo travelers and couples.

I really enjoyed the trip! Vikash knows alot about the island, he is a good storytailor and he also took some nice photos :) I recommend!

Ehdoton retki mikäli mauritiukselle saapuu lomailemaan. Päivän aikana näki hyvin nähtävyyksien lisäksi itse mauritiusta.

More than worth it. We got an interesting insight into the country.
