  • Enjoy a memorable sunset camel ride through the beautiful Palm Grove
  • Trek through an area featuring more than 100,000 palm trees
  • Journey to authentic villages to experience local Berber life
  • Have a relaxing mint tea break at the home of a local Berber family
Full description
Head to the Palmeraie, a dazzling palm grove on the fringes of the city, for your camel ride. Learn about how these robust desert animals have served as a means of transportation for centuries in Morocco due to their ability to travel long distances without water. After a safety briefing, put on your shesh (turban) and climb onto the camel saddle. Relax as you ride through the verdant palms and appreciate views of the desert plateaus. After a 30-minute ride, you will stop to visit a traditional Morrocan Berber house to discover how local life is. Here you can also enjoy snacks and mint tea with the family. Continue riding your camel again. Take out your camera to snap some photos of the beautiful sunset as the cotton candy colors seep through the trees. When your ride is complete, you will be driven back to your accommodation.

The guides wore friendly and in good spirits. If you nervous and would like to see if you can do a longer trip on camelback try this. It wasn’t a trip in the desert but more like waste land with walled resident buildings dotted about and main roads cutting around it , still you can’t get nice photos.

Was out favourite trip of the holiday. All was very well organised. As the car couldn’t reach our riad we were texted the nearing point the day before. The men (Jafar) who took us round on the camels were lovely and took loads of pictures. Mint tea was a nice finish.

The day before they sent us a message where and what time they would pick us up. We went in an air-conditioned minibus for about 30 minutes to get there. It was all good, the camels are tied one behind the other, you are not alone on your own. They dress you in typical clothing, very friendly and fun treatment. Walk of 1h approx and they give you a delicious tea at the end. I would repeat the experience without a doubt.
