We'll pick you up between 8:40 am and 9 am at your hotel in Santa Maria for an excursion to one of the great tourist attractions of Sal island. We'll head towards Buracona, the bay where this underground jewel is hidden. To get there, we'll pass by Kite Beach, a beach famous for hosting world kite surfing championships. We'll also pass by Porto Palmeira, where we'll stop to visit the port and see its fishing boats. Once in Buracona, we'll visit the natural lagoon known as Blue Eye. You'll see how the sunlight reflects on its clear turquoise waters, giving them a precious gem-like appearance. Here you'll have an hour of free time to take a dip in the pool of to the Blue Eye cave. It'll be an amazing experience! After enjoying one of the main natural wonders of Cape Verde, we'll return to Santa Maria, but not before making brief stops at two other iconic spots of the island. The first stop will be at Miragem a mirage on the island to see the Fata Morgana effect of water in the desert. . Meeting at the front desk of your hotel at 9:15 AM, then make your way to the first destination, Ponta Preta (Black Edge). Witness a contrast between white natural sand dunes and dark-colored volcanic rocks entering the sea. On the way back to Espargos, pass the peripheral area of the island and visit some social institutions, such as kindergartens and schools. In Espargos, take a break for lunch in a local restaurant and taste a typical dish or savor one of the best pizzas in town. After lunch, continue to Pedra de Lume, where the famous Salinas (salt pans) are found inside of an extinct volcano crater.
