The place is truly sublime. Palccoyo, the other rainbow mountain has nothing to envy to Vinicunca! The mountain itself is perhaps a little less spectacular, but the surrounding site is one of the most beautiful creations of nature that I have ever seen in my life. The road is a little winding and "turbulent" but it is well worth it. The hike itself to reach the summit is splendid, in the colorful mountains, and not too difficult. Very enthusiastic guide. Great view

The tour was well worth it. The 3 hour drive had plenty of scenery, and the view of the rainbow mountain was beautiful. Unable to capture its beauty in camera without editing the pics though. Be sure to bring a proper winter jacket, gloves and winter hat - the temp is no joke! Initially it was very hard to contact the tour operator, but we went to the office to reconfirm our tour for the next day and it all went well. Breakfast-to-go box was provided, and after the rainbow mountain we were brought to a small restaurant for a delicious lunch. The tour guide was really good at explaining and accommodating to our pace - we had to stop to rest a few times due to the high altitude. Definitely need to acclimatize in Cusco for a few days before getting on this tour! There were very little tourists so it was easy to get perfect shots of the mountains. It’s also a short hike - about 45 mins uphill.

excursion to do!

excursion planned early so with breakfast included, which finally only started at 7am so without breakfast, and without compensation. pick-up done at the agency while pick-up could be done at the hotel, too bad. Other than that, great excursion! the guide who is also the cook and the driver was great (thank you Raul !!), very good behavior while the roads are more dirt roads in laces, excellent lunch (suddenly a shame that we did not have the breakfast- already !!) in a typical place, and wonderful visit (too bad the weather was not good) in a little touristy area which is very significant, and very professional explanations! taking into account effective mountain sickness on the part of Raul, thank you again !!

The landscapes are spectacular, the tour was excellent, a good guide and delicious food
