Museo Picasso Málaga: Ticket & Audioguide

1. Museo Picasso Málaga: Ticket & Audioguide

The Museo Picasso Málaga was created in response to the artist's desire for his work to be exhibited in the city of his birth in 1881. Its realization is thanks to the combined efforts of the artist´s daughter-in-law and grandson, whose donations provide the body of the art collection, and Junta de Andalucía, who arranged an ambitious project devoted to the artist. Located in the Palacio de Buenavista, declared a National Monument in 1939, the Museo Picasso Málaga opened in the heart of Málaga in 2003. The building boasts a harmonic mix of Renaissance and Mudéjar elements and serene contemporary lines. Phoenician, Roman, and Arabic ruins can be found on the underground floor. This ticket provides access to the permanent collection or the temporary exhibition. The permanent collection contains examples of Picasso's revolutionary innovations. See paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics, and graphic work, from his first academic studies to his personal Neoclassical perspective, from the overlapping forms of Cubism to his experiments in ceramics, and from his interpretation of the Old Masters to his last paintings of the 1970s. Purchase a combined ticket and you will also get access to the museum’s temporary exhibitions. The temporary exhibitions change on a regular basis.  Break for a snack in the garden café of the Palacio de Buenavista, a perfect place to end your visit with an appetizer, lunch, or a drink in one of the nicest spots in Málaga. The upcoming temporary exhibitions are : Face to face. Picasso and the Old Masters. From April 1 to June 26 (except April 19). Paula Rego. From April 27 to August 21.

We had a very nice trip. Seville is definitely worth a visit. - Unfortunately, the time in the bus is very long, so that little time was left in Seville. Our tour guide Caesar guided us through the day in a very informative and relaxed manner. Thanks a lot for this!

Well hidden gem if a museum. The one in Barcelona has more ceramics! Extra exhibit available in gallery in the back. Decent gift shop. I recommend. Visited from new Orleans. May 6, 2022 Sallygator

Very nice museum, the audio guide really immerses us in the heart of the exhibition, I took great pleasure in discovering or rediscovering the works of Picasso!

Great value, definitely recommend booking in advance to avoid queues!

Amazing museum - great on getting into the museum first hand.
