We booked this tour as there are currently no in-person tours of Oxford university. As we aren't applying until 2022 we wanted to get an overview of the city, the colleges, an idea of the differences between colleges (and the collegiate system) plus any top tips on applications. Peter, an Oxonian, was very knowledgeable and discussed the application and interview process and showed us around Exeter, Balliol and the Divinity School (there were very few open due to COVID). Peter had researched the subjects that we were thinking of taking and had statistics and advice on preparation for interviews in these subjects. If we had been applying this year, he would have helped us more specifically with personal statements and tried to get us in to specific colleges. There was a lot to take in, but it has set us up to better understand the virtual open days and the application process next year.

Our guide Peter not only has a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm, but is someone who's genuinely interested in other people and makes every effort to pitch what he's telling us accordingly (whether it's my 17-year-old daughter or my 50-year-old self!). He went well beyond what we would have expected in terms of his time and his wish to help us understand more about both the University and the beautiful town of Oxford. He followed up with some of the questions we had afterwards which was fantastically appreciated. I thoroughly recommend Peter to anyone wishing to further their enjoyment of Oxford. Many thanks Peter!
