Full description
Meet your qualified green (or blue) badge guide at Martyrs Memorial on St Giles for a 2-hour walking tour of Oxford with emphasis on the filming of Morse/Lewis and Endeavour. Your guide will give a brief introduction to the city and the university, and from here you will head off through the very heart of Oxford to explore locations associated with the filming. You will see many of the colleges (from the outside), as well as The Bodleian Library, Old Schools Quadrangle, The Weston Library and The Radcliffe Camera.  Other sites will include The Bridge of Sighs and many of the pubs where the words ‘pint Morse’ were often spoken! Each tour is different, a script is not followed, and the best route will be chosen on the day to give you the very best experience.

Leigh was a fantastic guide. Pace of the tour was good as was her knowledge. However if you're expecting a tour packed with filming locations covering all 3 shows then this won't be the tour for you as some aspects also include history of the colleges and other landmarks and events which don't really link in to the shows. Leigh's knowledge was still very good however I believe there are separate tours for this. We located some of the filming locations ourselves as I am a big Lewis fan and there was minimal reference to Lewis, mainly Morse and Endeavour.

This was one of the most interesting and enjoyable walking tours that I have done. The group was small and Heidi our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and engaging. She provided lots of anecdotes about Morse, Endeavour and Lewis as well as plenty of information about the colleges. (We were lucky to get into 2 colleges). I thoroughly recommend this tour and am now going back to watch the series’ to spot the hidden links! Thanks again Heidi!

FANTASTIC !!!!!! The guide Heidi from the moment we met to when we said goodbye 1.45hrs later never stop engaging with the group giving facts about Morse/Lewis and Endeavour but also information on Oxford itself. The knowledge of her subject was very impressive which made the tour experience the highlight of our visit to the city. The tour guide gave everyone a headset which meant we heard everything she said whilst walking around busy streets. I would highly recommend this tour.
