Full description
Experience part of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route on this half-day tour. Start your tour at the Cathedral of Oviedo, a very important visiting point for pilgrims where you will learn more about the roots of the Camino de Santiago and Primitivo and the role that the Asturian kings and Oviedo played. The first part of the route leads through Oviedo city center and its outskirts. Here, learn more about Asturian culture and gastronomy before entering the beautiful Asturian countryside. You can stamp your pilgrim passport (which you'll receive at the start of the tour) in chapels and bars along the way. Follow the road through small villages along the original, hilly route that hundreds of thousands of pilgrims have taken in previous centuries. Stop along the way to sample some delicious typical Asturian snacks. The tour guide will lead you and tell you about the Camino and Asturias, but there is ample opportunity to enjoy the landscape in silence and meet fellow pilgrims in order to get a real taste of the Camino.
