What a great way to get a feel for life and culture in San Jose, Our guide, Daniel, was friendly and knowledgeable, taking us to authentic San Jose spots to sample exotic fruits and cuisine - the empanadas and Lolo Mora sorbet at the central market were amazing! To end the tour, we visited Eric at Mr Sloth Coffee to try delicious tamales, make our own empanadas and taste delicious organic ecological Costa Rican coffee - a great place for coffee lovers and gifts to take home. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. So much so, I’ll be heading back to the central market today for more empanadas and that delicious sorbet! Thank you Daniel and Eric!

We had a wonderful time at the Sights & Bites tour with Daniel. It made us feel comfortable walking around the downtown area with someone who was familiar with the markets and everything San Jose has to offer. We tried many things that we have never tried before! At the end of the tour, we visited Mr. Sloth Coffee shop for a hands-on learning experience with Daniel and Eric. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who has only a few days in San Jose and wants to make the most of it while learning new things about Costa Rican cuisine and culture.

This was a great tour! Everything was as it said on the website (such as meeting spot, meeting times, where we would go, etc). I loved the mix of seeing historical landmarks and tasting local foods. My favorite thing that I tried was the Sweet Granadilla! I highly recommend this tour.

Great tour! Danny is an excellent guide. Go mid-day and you won't have to get lunch due to the high quantity and quality of tastings.

Highly recommended, great way to get to know San Jose and our tour guide was lovely
