Expect sensory overload as your mind, body and soul fight against every natural self-preserving urge. The challenge is immense. Harnessed by space-age materials to your experienced Jumpmaster, step out of that aircraft door and for 60-seconds plummet toward the ground at 200 kph - terminal velocity. Admire some of the most dramatic scenery in New Zealand from 15,000ft above the Remarkables Mountain Range. After a 15-minute scenic flight to altitude, you will nudge towards the edge of the plane before being thrown out. Keep your head up, smile at your skydive photographer and take in the stunning surroundings. After an exhilarating freefall, you will experience a 5-minute parachute ride, floating safely back down to the skydive drop zone. At the drop zone base, make use of the internet kiosks and Discovery Zone where you can watch the parachutes being packed. There are drinks and snacks available for purchase, bathrooms, a souvenir clothing and gifts store, as well as free Wi-Fi. There are also lockers onsite to store your valuables while skydiving.

Admire some of New Zealand’s most beautiful scenery and picturesque landscapes as you freefall from above at 200kph. Your experience starts when you walk in the door and meet the awesome frontline crew. Receive a full briefing and gear up. Before you know it, you’ll be meeting your tandem instructor and climbing into the plane for the incredible scenic flight to altitude. During your 20-minute flight over the Southern Alps, your instructor will point out Mt. Cook, Mt. Aspiring, the Southern Alps, a number of lakes and the Clutha River. Once you’ve reached your chosen altitude, it’s time to leap. Experience the pure adrenaline rush of freefalling at 200kph above the stunning Central Otago landscape. After 25 to 60-seconds of freefall, catch your breath and enjoy the smooth flight under canopy safely back down to the drop zone. Harnessed to an experienced jumpmaster, expect sensory overload as you step out of the aircraft door, and for up to 25 seconds freefall at 200 kilometres per hour. You must choose to go through life able to say “I did it”, instead of knowing you had the opportunity and turned it down. Achievement doesn’t come any sweeter. From the moment you arrive at the skydive drop zone, the experienced team will take care of your every need. Everything for your skydive experience is provided, from jumpsuit to googles. Your experienced tandem master will provide you with a full safety briefing before escorting you to the waiting plane. Your flight to altitude will take 15 minutes, then you will be nudged towards the edge of the plane by your tandem master before leaping out. Be sure to smile and keep your eyes open so your skydive photographer can capture your experience, with the stunning scenery as your backdrop. After 25 seconds of freefall, take in the spectacular scenery during your 5-minute flight under canopy, as you float back down to the drop zone. After your skydive experience, you can make use of the onsite facilities, including internet kiosks and the discovery center, where you can watch parachutes being packed and customers getting ready for their skydive experience. Drinks, snacks, and souvenir clothing and gifts can be purchased onsite or you can challenge your friends to a game of Jenga or Chess while you wait for friends to land. 6. From Queenstown: Mount Cook Skydive & Tour

Meet your guide in Queenstown before setting off for a day of thrills and adventure. Your guide will set the scene and prepare you for your skydive as you head out of the city and towards Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park. Admire the views as you pass through Kawarau Gorge, Lindis Pass and the Southern Alps. There will be a few short stops along the way to take in the scenery, and a longer stop in the quaint town of Omarama to get some lunch. After lunch, you will head to your skydive in Pukaki. Boasting some of the country’s most epic scenery and views of the snow-capped mountains, glaciers, lakes of Mount Cook National Park, this is one of the best bits of sky in the country. You will take a 10-minute scenic flight up to 9,000, 13,000, or 15,000 feet where you will get ready to dive. Enjoy a thrilling 30-second freefall before your professional instructor pulls the parachute for 3-5 minutes of incredible views across the South Island and Aoraki National Park. Back on solid ground, you will take a short drive past Lake Pukaki to arrive at Mount Cook village. You will have 2.5 hours to explore the National Park on foot, an ideal amount of time to take the easy hike along the Kea Point track. After a packed day of adventure, you will visit High Country Salmon to taste some of the freshest salmon in New Zealand. During the summer months, you will also stop at Mrs Jones Fruit Stall to try some fresh local fruit before heading back to Queenstown. Alternatively, you can choose to continue heading North from Mount Cook National park and end your day trip in Christchurch. Great experience start to finish highly recommend to anyone going to the area. Operators where knowledgeable and helpful through the whole thing. My son was in a wheelchair and nothing was an issue absolutely awesome.
