From Catania: Mount Etna Sunset Tour

The trip was interesting, fun, and it allowed us to discover Etna’s mesmerising landscapes, as well as the delicious local culinary products. The tour’s logistics were well set in place. The car arrived at the hotel at the appointed time. Our guide, Salvo, was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and charismatic, answering all our questions and paying special attention to all the tour participants’ needs. We were also lucky enough to have clear skies, so we were able to watch the sunset from the top of one of the Silvestri craters, surrounded by very few other tourists. The colours were breathtaking and made the trip all worth it. It’s an experience that I would recommend to anyone coming to Sicily.
Really fascinating tour, our guide Simone really made our day! We were given a lot of useful information, tasted dozens of local products and enjoyed the magnificent view of Etna. We really liked it having Simone as a guide of us. He knew a lot about Etna mountain and Catania and he was also really funny. Although he was late to pick us up from our b&b, we were compansated by his behaviour in general. Finally, the tour was safe and well organised.
Very good activity to do during your trip in Sicily, unfortunately we don't see so much the sunset because the excursion is in the southeast of the Etna. However it is still a nice moment in a natural monument. Last but not least: our guide was very good and she has a very good knowledge of the Etna's history.
Her multilingual skills were very good. The honey farm she took us too allowed you to try many etna foods including olives, oil, honey, breads, wines and more. Please note you do not have to climb very high and you will not reach the higher points (you won’t go on the cable car). Overall brilliant experience!
The tour was fantastic! Andrea, our tour guide was a great mix of informative and free. We had both English and French speakers in our group and he made both groups feel welcome and answered all our questions. The crater hike with sunset was the highlight, great for golden hour photographs!
