Berlin: Third Reich Under the Swastika Tour in Spanish

2. Berlin: Third Reich Under the Swastika Tour in Spanish

The 12 years that the Nazis ruled Germany left an indelible mark on Berlin. On this tour you will discover the impact the Nazis had on the city as you head to different locations, including the dramatic Olympic Stadium, site of the controversial 1936 games. Starting at Potsdamer Platz we will go to the Bendlerblock, the memorial to the German Resistance, where we will talk about the various resistance groups, such as the one organized by Claus von Stauffenberg who was executed in the inner courtyard, after a failed assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler. Visit the remains of an old war bunker in Schöneberg, and see the Volksgerichtshof (People’s Court) before heading into the Bavarian Quarter, formerly known as the “Jewish Switzerland,” where Albert Einstein once lived. You will learn about the Jewish persecution and continue to Track 17 in Grunewald, from where the Jewish population of Berlin was deported to the concentration camps. The tour ends in the impressive Olympic Stadium in the west of the city, where you will have time to explore, and learn about it's use throughout the subsequent years.

Initially, the Berlin travel system is a bit confusing but very easy to adapt to it and understand what goes where! I recommend getting the travel pass especially if you plan to visit different attractions. The public transport is not extremely busy (almost at all times you have where to sit in the underground), much more relaxed than London public transport!

Getting a transport pass in advance is paramount for a relaxed trip. Buying the pass online was easy, and finding the office at the airport as well. The guide and the map I received with it were good help. I would highly recommend to use this service.

Great for transport in Berlin. Map provided also very helpful. Used the discount at numerous museums and we were helped by the 2022 City Guide. This led to significant savings.

Very useful for transport, once we collected the voucher, which is also valid online, we started to tour Berlin comfortably and offers good discounts for each attraction.

Super easy. Just get on and ride with the tram, U-bahn bus or S-bahn.
