The tour guide we had, Misha, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and extremely witty! During the walk over Charles Bridge she provided us with historical information and tales about the bridge and the statues which was quite interesting. The castle itself wasn’t as exciting as I had expected but the gardens were closed and we were only allowed in a few areas. St. Vitus Cathedral was stunning, the star of the show! It is definitely worth taking the guided tour of the castle for the information you learn and the convenience of having someone else handle the tickets, etc. And if Misha is your guide, you will have a wonderful time!! Thank you, Misha, from Rhode Island.

The experience was fine - we were picked up at the beginning of the Charles Bridge in the square where the statue of Charles IV is. The guide (a red-haired lady whose name I don't know and who spoke good Italian) started the tour by making us cross the Charles Bridge on foot, explaining some peculiarities to us. We then took the tram up the hill and entered the Castle grounds, where we were guided around the various places/environments for about an hour and a half. The guide is efficient and prepared. She is a very genuine and spontaneous lady with a strong and decisive character, perhaps even too much: follow her carefully and don't ask her stupid questions or she will get angry :-)
