Full description

Enjoy a sailing catamaran tour departing from Kewalo Basin Harbor. Whales guaranteed or come again for free. Just as the idyllic weather beckons to tourists around the world, the warm shallow waters (less than 600 feet) surrounding the main Hawaiian Islands are a favorite destination for humpback whales. Scientists estimate that two-thirds of the entire North Pacific humpback whale population return to Hawaii to breed, calve, and nurse their young. They race over 3,000 miles from the Gulf of Alaska to Hawaii in less than two months, then stay for a lengthy vacation, frolicking off our shores and entertaining spectators from December through May.

Great catamaran and lovely crew. Very welcoming and friendly service. Unfortunately we didn’t see ant whales as it was end of the season mid April and they had moved to Maui! But the trip itself was lovely to see the coastline and we were provided with a free cruise redeemable anytime in the future or could swap it for another trip or cruise to same value.

The weather wasn’t very cooperative (rainy, windy, lots of large waves) and we understand that wasn’t their fault but it made for a very tough experience. The guides were very friendly, kind, and wanted everyone to have a good experience however, and kept checking in with everyone. The music was a bit loud.

We had the choice to do this tour with a ship that has 3 decks. Fortunately, we decided to go on the catamaran tour. Even if you don't see whales, you have the boat trip of a lifetime. The crew is fantastic, a great bar with free drinks and lots of space on the catamaran. I can recommend it to everyone.
