Take a half-day tour to the charming village of St. Emilion, and sample a selection of wines. The history of the village goes back to medieval times, and the whole jurisdiction is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its natural landscape. You will be traveling in small groups and on arrival will take a tour of the village, made up of fascinating Romanesque churches and ruins that stretch along the steep and narrow streets. It was the Romans that introduced wine making to the village as far back as the 2nd century. Reminders of the Roman techniques of wine planting can be seen in some of the estates, such as Chateau Bellevue, owned by the world famous Angelus winery. The village was named after the monk Émilian, a traveling confessor, who settled in a hermitage carved into the rock in the 8th-Century. Follow your guide for a walking tour of the village to discover all the main attractions.  Then, enjoy a visit and wine tasting session in a Classified Growth Chateau of the Saint Emilion wine region. During the visit, you will learn all there is to know about the estate as well as the techniques used to produce this world-famous wine. From here return to Bordeaux.

Start the day with a breath of fresh and salty air on a sailing tour. Meet at the dock, right in front of the two towers of the old harbor. Once aboard the 16-meter maxi-catamaran, the crew will give a quick safety briefing before setting sail. Head up the channel, admiring the different landmarks of the bay such as the Richelieu Tower, the sailing harbor of Les Minimes, or the "end of the world" lighthouse. Once out in the bay, the crew will unfurl the sails and stop the engines. Generally in the morning, the sea is quiet and few sailboats roam the sea. This was a super purchase, we bought the 48hr pass for €42 each. We used the Trams non stop and got free entry into Cite du Vin which would have cost us €25 each, you also get free access into loads of other Mueseums, busses, river taxis and you can choose a free trip also. Superb value and no messing around trying to buy tickets.

Rousing ride thru the historic sections of Bordeaux with a friendly and informative guide (Alex). Well time stops to take in the sights as well as fun photos. Highly recommended.
