Another great tour with our driver and guide, Manuel who is a local to the island. You can really tell that Manuel has a great love for this place. He is more than happy to tell you all about the many facets of the Azores, wether it is about the history, industry, culture or nature of the islands. After seeing the western side of Sao Miguel yesterday, we saw many great views along the eastern part of the island today. *Amazing* waterfalls (helped along by a few rainy days), and great views from the tall cliffs along the eastern coast. We got to swim in a huge pool filled with warm hotspring water, surrounded by a wonderful botanical garden. We also saw a field where heat from the still active volcanic soil boiled the water above and is being used to slowcook large pots of stew. Later we got to try the stew at a restaurant and it was really tender and full of flavor. Also the portions we got were MASSIVE. There were also local beer, sodas and wine. Great tour with great value!

I am very happy that we decided to book a tour to Nordeste… we had a great guide, Rodriguo was knowledgeable and attentive to all of the people on this tour. I would definitely recommend this tour.

We had a great day out with Katia, she was super friendly and informative! The views were beautiful, lunch was delicious and the baths were good fun - note though that entry is 16€ not 6 as stated.

Great experience! Eduardo was a great guide which knew how to spontaneously change up the tour based on the weather conditions. Would do this again any time!

Very well cared for and enjoyable, thanks in part to guide Joao DaCosta who also guided São Miguel west
