Scene of the blockbuster movie “The Beach,” Phi Phi is a paradise destination just 30 miles from mainland Thailand. Composed of 2 islets, Phi Phi Don is the larger, known for its fine beaches and coral formations. Tourist facilities are available along the 2 beautiful curved bays of Ton Sai and Lodalam. During the day you can visit Maya Bay, where “The Beach” was filmed, swim in some of the world's clearest water, snorkel at beautiful Hin Klang, and explore Viking Cave, where thousands of swallows nest. Discover the hidden coves of Phi Phi Lee, such as Phi Lee Bay, where the limestone cliffs rise straight up from the waters and are only reachable by boat. Snorkel among the coral gardens of Ao Maya and Ao Lo Sama. Surrounded by flawless sand beaches, expect to see abundant reef fish and even the occasional leopard shark. You will also visit Monkey Beach, which is located on the southwestern side of Ton Sai Bay. It is a simply stunning 150-meter-long strip of white powdery sand fringed by emerald water. During low tide, you can see a colony of monkeys having their breakfast down on the beach. The morning session will end on Phi Phi Don, the larger of the 2 sister islands. A rich Thai buffet lunch is served in the restaurant of Phi Phi Cliff Beach Resort. Then it is time to explore the island path of Ton Sai along the beautiful curved bays of Ton Sai and Loh Dalum Bay. In the afternoon you will have to chance to swim and snorkel at Bamboo Island, a tiny and flat island covered by lush vegetation and entirely surrounded by a strip of white sand and a reef that spreads up to 500 meters from the shore. The uninhabited paradise located 3 miles (5 km) off the northern tip of Koh Phi Phi Don provides visitors with the feeling of swimming in an aquarium.

What people are saying about Nong Thale

Everything about this excursion was amazing. From the speed boat ride cruising through the Andaman Sea to diving and snorkeling in it to swimming in the emerald green waters to large portions of freshly cut fruits served on the boat to last but definitely not the least, our tour guide SALLY, made the experience of exhilarating. It was beautiful. The best part is everything was just so organised. Sally is such a kind, humble lady, doing her job with so much dedication and she cared to clarify all doubts anyone had. Pro Tip 1: Try to secure a seat on the deck of the speed boat. I can vouch for the best views. It can be a bit bumpy but have faith and enjoy! Have ginger in any form if you tend to get sea sick Pro Tip 2: There will be an option to avail long tail boat to go deeper in to the island at one point at an additional cost. But in reality it barely goes 200m from where the speed boat is anchored. But you will lose out on the iconic long tail boat instagrammable pictures!

My wife and I enjoyed the boat tour to the Phi Phi islands. The driver in the morning picked us up on time at the hotel. We got transported to the marina to check in with the staff and other members on our tour. I think we had about 40 people on our boat. We visited Maya bay first, getting to dip our feet in the water and walk around. It was little crowded, but beautiful view of the ocean and cliffs. After that the tour took us to Pi Leh Lagoon to swim for about 30mins, the water was nice and warm. After that we went to another spot to go snorkeling. Next the tour passed by the viking cave and monkey bay, the group stayed in the boat for pictures. For lunch, the boat stopped at the Phi Phi island for a lunch buffet. The buffet had a variety of noodles, fried chicken, and soup. Pretty good food. Then after lunch, the tour brought is to Bamboo island where we had about a hour to swim and relax on the beach. Very nice day.

Love the experience! Tour guides were fluent in English able to communicate well . Those with or without motion sickness do standby motion sickness pill as during monsoon period as the sea can be really choppy throughout the whole time out at sea.

Excellent tour, tour guide amazing on local information and helpful, fantastic english also.

The trip was fun! Our boat crew was awesome and our guide Guyfaye was amazing!!
