  • Montenegro: Durmitor, Tara & Ostrog Monastery Day Trip

    1. Montenegro: Durmitor, Tara & Ostrog Monastery Day Trip

After a short drive from your meeting point, you will make your first photo stop to capture perspectives of two nearby famous islands, Our Lady of the Rocks and Saint George. From the first photo stop you will move to higher elevations of Montenegro for a second photo stop, above Risan Bay. The trip then continues to Nikšić, the second biggest city in Montenegro. Just before you enter Nikšić, you will receive a third photo stop at the artificial Salty Lake. After about 2 hours of astounding natural landscapes, it will be time to take a much-needed breakfast break, enjoying tasty local food and drink. From Nikšić, you will continue towards the Mountain of Durmitor, where dramatic rocky peaks rise high into the sky. Along the route you will pass dense pine and colorful deciduous forest. The next stop is Đurđevića Tara Bridge, the highest in Europe when built in 1940. If so inclined, time...

Must do tour in Montenegro. Jelen from 360 Montenegro was amazing. The best part of the tour was the information and care shared by jelen. Would highly recommend.

  • Podgorica: Ostrog Monastery and Niagara Waterfall Tour

    2. Podgorica: Ostrog Monastery and Niagara Waterfall Tour

You will begin your tour by visiting the most famous waterfalls near the capital, Niagara Waterfalls. On the way to the falls, you will be able to see the Cijevna River Canyon, which was formerly the border between Montenegro and the Ottoman Empire until 1912. The waterfall was named after the Niagara waterfalls in Canada. Being much smaller, the waterfall is a great attraction for "Podgorica", and a place to rest on hot summer days.  Sometimes during the summer, the waterfalls dry up, so you get the opportunity to visit Virpazar or the lookouts above the river Crnojević, both part of the Skadar Lake National Park. These options are always available at the client's request. Kayaking in Virpazar can also be organized for an extra fee. After visiting the waterfall, the road will lead you up to the Ostrog Monastery. The beauty of this monastery, made by St.Vasilije, was written by Napoleo...

  • Kotor: Ostrog & Rijeka Crnojevic Private Tour

    3. Kotor: Ostrog & Rijeka Crnojevic Private Tour

High in mountains next to Niksic, you'll find the Monastery of Ostrog, the biggest Montenegrin pilgrimage site built in 17th-century where you will find the remains of St. Vasilije Ostroski. The holy relics of Saint Basil can be found in the lower church of the upper monastery. Ostrog Monastery was built by natural and human interaction, carved almost in its entirety in a vertically positioned mountain cliff. There is not much written evidence about the process and time of construction, but looking at it now, it is a really amazing piece of human work difficult to imagine being done even today with modern technology. This monastery, carved in the mountains, is high above Bjelopavlici plain. The most impressive part of the monastery is Upper Ostog where two small churches are built, upper small church dedicated to Saint Cross and lower dedicated to the Presentation of Mary. This sanctuar...

We were a group of seven people. The pick up was in time and our guide was Slavko, who kept us entertained with his profunded knowledge of every corner of his beautiful country, his personal stories and his warm and welcoming behavior. We visited several places and had enough time at every single spot and place. The breakfast was delicious and the traditional Montenegro meal we had for lunch, was very tasty. In our group we had ppl from France, The Netherlands, Ukraine and Germany. My personal highlights of this Roadtrip have been the Tara Bridge, the Zip Line there, the Salt Lake, the Black Lake and of course the beautiful and unique nature of the Durmitor National Park. Even though it was a long day,it was just great

I can absolutely recommend this tour! :) Luka was our tour guide and made a really good job. He was very nice, funny and he explained a lot. The sights were well chosen and you have enough time to see everything by your own. Also the two restaurants were really good, quite cheap and both had enough options for everyone (vegetarian/meat/fish). Luka asked us at the beginning if it would be okay if the tour would go longer than announced, so that we would have more time at all stops and did not have to stress anywhere, and we agreed. That’s why we came back at 9.30pm.

This was a jam packed day, but well worth jt! Our tour guide, Slavko, was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We had such fun seeing so much of Montenegro and highly recommend this tour!
