Full description

Enjoy a half-day adventure in the glamorous French Riviera on a visit to the medieval hillside village of Eze and a guided tour of Monaco and Monte Carlo. Departing from Cannes, Nice, or Monaco, travel by luxury 8-seater minibus and explore the glitzy atmosphere of this trendy destination. At the hillside village of Eze, enjoy panoramic views of the Riviera and Mediterranean Sea. Visit the Fragonard perfume factory before touring the village La Turbie. Known as the "Terrace” of Monaco, thanks to its views over Monaco. It is most notable for its Roman monument dating from 7 BC. On arrival in Monaco, go to the old town, known as "The Rock," and admire the Prince Palace. Arrive in time to see the Changing of the Guard. Continue to the Cathedral and pay homage to the Monegasque royalty buried there and still have time to see the Oceanographic Museum and the Justice Palace. End your tour at Monte Carlo and see the Casino built by Garnier, the architect of the Opera Garnier in Paris. Admire the famous Hotel de Paris built in 1864, and the beautiful gardens. Finally, take a spin around the road circuit of the Monaco Grand Prix.

My husband and two adult children took this tour with Fred to Monaco and Eze during our trip to Nice. Though we could have easily taken a train or bus to Monaco on our own- it was well worth taking the tour due to the wealth of knowledge Fred shared about the country, the locals, the casino, etc. He was very flexible regarding how long we spent in each place and was so very personable. I would highly recommend this tour and especially Fred in particular as a guide- he made the day so special and memorable for us- it was truly one of the highlights.

The highlight of our trip to France was the tour we took with our remarkable guide, Zara. She was knowledgeable, personable, warm and funny - an absolute delight! We took many tours during our stay and she was hands down the BEST! Do yourself a favor and take a tour - any tour - with Zara!

Great fun!

Sabine was a great guide, and the tour included a great selection of activities and sights in the allocated time. My only suggestion would be to extend the time in Monaco so that there would be time for a little more exploring and/or lunch as this section of the tour felt rather rushed.
