What people are saying about Newcastle, UK

I wanted my friend from the USA- who watches Vera, experience the beauty of the North East . It was ideal as she got to see a glimpse of the places she had seen on TV Our Tour guide , Anna, who met us in Newcastle , was excellent and her knowledge of the TV series and the area were outstanding. Our coach driver was also wonderful. First stop Woodhorn Museum, then on to, Alnmouth and Amble and past Walkworth Castle. An hour stop for lunch in Seahouses before we headed to the magnificent Bamburgh Castle for a photo stop. Of course the highlight was our stop on the Causeway at Lindisfarne to see the cottage used in the series, before our last stop in the village- Highly recommend the Ice Cream Parlour. Then lots of information on our ride back to Newcastle, I am from the North East but it was lovely to see the pure joy and appreciation of our wonderful county by visitors to the area. I can highly recommend the full Vera tour.

As with the previous half day in Newcast not only did we see Vera locations but also little fishing ports and inland hamlets. But the star location was Holey Island, we left just under two hours before it was cut off again when the tide came in. How did they find an isolated cottage on the island to portray where Vera lives ? Two very good days. Recommend Pilgrims Coffee on the island

This private tour was excellent. Our tourist guide, Alex, was so attentive and addressed to our need. Alex explained thoroughly to us the history of Hadrians Wall with many interesting stories. Thank you so much Alex, you did a great job!

The day was excellently organised, really informative and interesting, and the locations were gorgeous. If you are a Vera fan you’ll love it!

Fran was the absolute best. Would highly recommend this tour to any Vera fan.
