Full description

Led by a local actress, experience a day in the life of Manhattan's elite on this tour of the Gossip Girl sites led by a local actress. Written by Cecily Von Ziegesar, the hit TV show is America’s most popular teen drama, starring young actors like Blake Lively and Chace Crawford. “Hello, Upper East Siders!” is Gossip Girl’s opening line to every episode, and on this tour, you will feel like Gossip Girl is talking directly to you. More than 40 Manhattan locations have been used in filming the show, and the dedicated “Gossip Girl” tour will let you explore them. Check out the spots where the gossipy characters take on the roles of socialite teenagers in New York City. Take a look at the Upper East Side elite society of sex, drugs, jealousy, and the pressures of the prestigious academic institutions they attend. Pass the Vera Wang boutique where Blair tried on her wedding gown, visit The Empire Hotel, site of Chuck Bass' newest home and business, and pass the candy store where Dan helped Vanessa shop. It’s an ideal tour for fans of the show, as well as fans of New York’s more glitzy side. Board the bus first with priority seating tickets that include pre-boarding and seating in the first 5 rows near the tour guide. Small private tours are typically 1 hour shorter than public tours.

My daughter is a huge Gossip Girl fan so this tour was very special for her. My husband and I had a slightly different city tour, but we really enjoyed it. Since we were the only ones on the tour, our guide Katy surprised us for the ride in a great 1965 Chevrolet.

This was a fun tour if you are interested in seeing the upper east side of Manhattan and some of the locations from the tv show Gossip Girl. It was a smaller group so instead of a tour bus , we had a van transporting us from one stop to the next. The tour guide was knowledgeable enough about the buildings and locations that specifically were used for filming. She also threw in a few trivia questions. Overall it was a nice tour. It wasn’t quite what I expected but it was still fun.

An absolute must for all Gossip Girl fans! Our tour guide Natalie was brand new and therefore seemed well prepared and motivated. She entertained us with many facts about the series and there was also a small quiz. We stopped by a lot of locations and even got off at some, like the Met Steps, Grand Central Station or the Empire Hotel. There Natalie always willingly offered to take photos of everyone. The tour was rounded off by two original Laduree macarons per person, which were included in the price. Unfortunately, the weather didn't quite cooperate with our tour, it would certainly have been even better if the weather had been nice! The only point of criticism is that the tour only lasted 2 hours instead of the stated 3 hours, which I found quite a pity considering the price. But all in all definitely recommended!
