Unfortunately I can’t remember our guide’s name, but he was wonderful. We saw 4 cemeteries, and he was incredibly knowledgeable, entertaining, and (unlike some tours), he had a great booming voice so you could hear every word, even spread out. It’s a bit of a trek from the French District but the meeting and ending points are right along the Canal St streetcar. Highly recommend this tour is you’re looking for a cemetery tour in NOLA!

Our guide Gabe provided information about the cemetery, and history surrounding it, in a very informative yet relaxed manner. We received an excellent history lesson, interspersed with humor. Our guide also spoke of damage done in the past by visitors and vandals and stressed the importance of preserving the cemetery. I found this to be an excellent tour and I recommend it to anyone with an interest in historical cemeteries.

The tour was very interesting and informative-Gabriel was a great guide, the group was very small, which was nice. The history was fascinating! Bring your umbrella! Even if it doesn’t forecast rain, trust me: you’ll need it for the sun. There is no shade at the cemetery, and it’s pretty hot (in June anyway) Definitely worth the time!
