Full description
Start your adventure from Nelson where you will be greeted by your expert driver and guide who will take care of you throughout the day. Set off on your full-day adventure, making multiple stops along the way including the quirky town of Takaka that has outstanding cafes and art galleries. You will also have a chance to stop at Te Waikoropupu Springs - a sacred Maori location surrounded by beautiful bushland.  Arrive at Wharakiki Beach, the number 1 attraction on every to-do list when visiting Golden Bay. This area is nestled into the South Island's north-west corner surrounded by steep and rugged mountains that are cut by fertile river plains and valleys from the rest of the island. Take a 1-hour walk here then head along the coast close to Farewell Spit. Catch some views of the spit, a 26-kilometer (just over 16-mile) long arm of fine golden sand which is the country's longest sandspit, from the lookout. Marvel at the dramatic landscapes, unique nature, and beautiful oceans of the West Coast. Make sure to bring your camera to capture the spectacular views. At the end of the day, enjoy a comfortable ride back to your starting point where your tour will finish.

Tottenham is the only way for travelers to get to Warariki Beach from Nelson. It was nice to meet our schedule, to make our guests smoothly in Taka Hill, and to share their stories and local backgrounds with us. Was a point. I'd rather raise the price and make the tour longer!
