What people are saying about Nelson

Great day out! The route was really easy to follow once out of Nelson and the guides at the shop gave some good advice on how to navigate out of town. We decided to do the wine route once in Mapua, which was great fun, although relatively challenging on a hilly route on a heavy bike. Would perhaps recommend an e-bike unless you have good cycling fitness for the wine route.

The fact that some of the "site to see and visit" are quite a long way off the main pathway and often need to cycle through traffic to get there ( if you can find them) needs to be advertised and explained better - we had hoped to go to the Eddyline breweries - we could see it from the path but could not get there. Other wise - was an excellent day out !

Great day trip. We took our four teens and everyone enjoyed themselves. Enough time to ride at a leisurely pace and still have time for lots of stops.

Great scenery and super bikes. Value for money and great for young and old.

Grade 3-5 tracks, not for the faint hearted. Well worth a look.
