Experience riding in a tuk-tuk, a typical vehicle used in Asia, on this guided trip around Negombo’s characteristic fishing village. Step into local life as you visit a local fish market and important historical sites, including the Sri Singama Kali Amman Kovil and Angurukaramulla Temple. Get picked up directly from your hotel by tuk-tuk, then move on to explore the countryside. Upon arrival in the town of Negombo, head to the buzzing Negombo Fish Market. Continue to the Negombo Dutch Fort, where you can wander through the fort while listening to the stories behind this fort from your guide. Afterward, stop at the Dutch Canal, which was an important link in the transportation route that supplied the Dutch colonial administration. The ride continues to Sri Singama Kali Amman Kovil, a major Hindu religious site. Here, you’ll be able to witness and capture the stunning murals and sculptures of the site. Later, visit Angurukaramulla Temple to uncover some of its 300 years of history. Your final visit before drop-off is at St. Mary’s Church, one of the largest cathedrals in Sri Lanka and a prominent religious site. Each guest gets to prepare a Sri Lankan meal guided by a Sri Lankan chef at their own cooking stations using their own ingredients (provided by the chef) Duration: 03 Hours Class Times: Lunch Class: 11.00 AM - 14.00 PM (including the meal), Dinner Class: 17.00 PM - 20.00 PM (including the meal) The customer will come with us to the buzzling Pettah food market where we will purchase all ingredients for the meal! Our chef will take the customer to the market from our cooking studio in a Tuk Tuk or a car depending on weather. Well at the colorful market our chef will not only teach the customer about the various ingredients and how to see if they are fresh but also about the history of the market itself! There will be an essentially Sri Lankan home-cooked rice and curry meal being taught to you. You will learn hands-on, how to make staples such as dhal curry and/or breadfruit curry. There will also be a meat or fish item on the menu. After making some mouthwatering dishes, you will be taste testing them by having them as part of your meal (lunch or dinner depending on your start time).

Take in both the culture and history of Sri Lanka as well as the natural beauty of it's wildlife on this full day tour from Negombo. First visit the world heritage site of Dambulla Cave Temples, before enjoying an afternoon on safari spotting elephants, deer, buffalo and assorted birds. Head to Dambulla and visit the Cave Temple, which is a vast isolated rock mass 500 feet high and a mile around the base. In the first cave is a recumbent image of the Buddha 47ft long, cut out of the rock. There are images of deities associated with Buddhism all around. The frescoes on the walls and the ceiling are the oldest here but they were painted over in the Kandy period. In the second cave, the finest and largest of all, there are 150 life-size statues of the Buddha in various postures with a few statues of Gods and Kings. The ceiling is also covered with frescoes, which depict great events in the life of the Buddha and landmarks in the history of the Sinhalese people. Have a break to enjoy lunch. Then explore the Kaudulla National Park on a jeep safari. In the Polonnaruwa District, 6,900 hectares include the Kavudulla Wewa and surrounding jungle area, was opened in September 2002. Kavudulla is home to a large herd of elephants, Sambhur, Spotted Deer, Wild Boar, Wild Buffalo, a range of reptile species, and a large number of bird species. The elephant population found here far exceeds those found in other parks.

After being collected from your Negombo hotel at approximately 7:00AM, you will embark on a 2 to 3-hour journey to your white water rafting location. Once arriving at the Kelani River, your adventure water rafting experience will begin. After being assigned one of the modern rafts, you will receive a comprehensive safety briefing by a professional water rafting instructor.
