What people are saying about Negombo

Nice trip with a good English speaking guide. We saw a lot but also a lot that was not described on the trip we what booked. When you arrive at Sigiryia Rock you have to pay for a ticket and the same thing you have to do if you go on an elephant safari in the area, so you just have to be aware of this. So what you pay for is basically a drive there. We did not get to see the temple in Dambula which was otherwise something we had been looking forward to the most.

The tour was very entertaining. The best was the boat tour through the mangroves of Madu Ganga. The guide was friendly and helpful. When tipping the locals, however, he let me run into the knife a little and in the end I got rid of a hefty sum. Please be careful when tipping! It is best to inquire beforehand what is customary in the country. Inexperienced

Booked this, thoroughly enjoyed - managed to see all the animals listed (except a bear). Lots of driving, but car was clean, comfortable and air conditioned. The company was accommodating and we asked to start at 8am, (instead of 9:30) and this wasn’t a problem.

The tour was excellent. I liked a lot the hotel in Sigirya and in Colombo. Keerthe, the driver, was very nice, respectful and always on time.
