Our camel handler Shlomo was the quietest person - initially, until the other riders left,m and then we had a great talk. His relationship with the animals was lovely to see and the baby that was attached to her mother, the camel I was assigned rested her head on my leg much of the time. Some things I learned was 1) Don't touch the camel's head and 2) don't wear shorts. The saddle has wooden protrusions and so my thighs were quite uncomfortable. The bedouin meal at the end was yummy! Even though web have lived in the Middle East, this was our first camel ride, and something not to be missed!
Both my two kids and I felt safe and the help and guidance from the guides were really nice. From Marie
