Full description
Join a magnificent tour and cross the island’s inland, its northern part, and the west. Visit the restored Demeter’s temple in Sangri from circa 530 B.C. and the museum with local findings. Continue to the oldest Citron distillery of the Naxos, dating back to 1896, in Halki. There, take the chance to taste the local Citron drink. A visit to Apeiranthos will give you the chance to see the famous marble village and shop in local traditional shops. Next, as the bus heads north to Apollonas, your tour allows you to see the remnants of the old emery mines and their machinery. Great tour with Nicholas to learn about the island and see some sights. Everything was interesting, I just wish we had more time at the pottery workshop and less time at the last stop. There are some nice landscape views as you pass different villages. Definitely not for those with fear of heights as the bus goes mostly on a very narrow mountain road. Bring 6 euro extra- 4 for the entry to the temple and 2 for the tasting of the spirit made locally.

Best way to know and see Naxos. Our tour guide Nicolas was very knowledgeable and gave a lot of information on the island. We did the tour on September 17th. Our bus driver (I don’t remember his name) was and excellent driver and drove safely. I highly recommended this tour.
