From Flagstaff or Sedona: Full-Day Colorado River Float Trip

1. From Flagstaff or Sedona: Full-Day Colorado River Float Trip

Your Colorado River rafting float tour starts off with a scenic, narrated ride from the Red Rocks of Sedona, through Oak Creek Canyon (one of the top 10 scenic drives in America) and the towering Ponderosa Pines of Flagstaff. Your Colorado River rafting tour will take you past the dormant volcanoes which make up the San Francisco Peaks, and through the Navajo Nation. Throughout the day, you'll receive informative and entertaining narration about the areas through which you pass from some of the most experienced and knowledgeable tour guides from the Sedona and Flagstaff areas. Upon arrival in Page, Arizona, pass through a spectacular 2-mile tunnel through the cliff walls of Glen Canyon and arrive at the base of the Glen Canyon Dam. Float through Glen Canyon's towering walls along a gentle stretch of the Colorado River just south of Lake Powell and the mighty Glen Canyon Dam. Sit back and relax as your river guide leads you on a breathtaking journey of colorful rock formations, soaring wildlife, and ancient Native American petroglyphs. Stop off for an easy hike to get a closer look at the petroglyphs, and enjoy an amazing picnic lunch on the banks of the river. Your river journey ends at Marble Canyon and historic Lees Ferry, featuring cabins left behind by the early pioneer settlers. On the return trip from your Colorado River rafting float tour, pass by the Echo Cliffs and western edge of the Painted Desert as you re-cross the Navajo Reservation for a stop at historic Cameron Trading Post. Shop for Native American arts and crafts and visit the gallery, home of many fine and rare pieces of Native American arts and crafts.

What people are saying about Navajo Nation

Andrea was our guide - she was amazing. She picked us up at our resort and drive us the approximate 2 hours to our float trip. She did everything for us, checked us in, waited till we left for the float. Told us everything and said she would meet us at where the float trip ended (which by the way saved us a hour bus ride back to the float trip office). Which was the opposite direction from our resort. We made several stops along the way and even did a little shopping. Then dropped us back at our exact unit. My family was so worn out they slept in the very spacious van on the way back. We felt like VIPs on a private tour. Saved us lots of driving and learned way more than we would have had we just drove ourselves. Highly recommend. Thanks Andrea.

Sheldon our tour guide was amazing! The beautiful trip was made complete with his wonderful narration and guidance through the Arizona scenery. We will definitely be back!

Super fantastic!

Great tour, both guides were fantastic. Talked about history of the canyon and about AZ. Highly recommend doing this tour!

Highlight of the trip was our tour guide, Sheldon. His sense of humor and professionalism were unequaled.
