Full description
Following your tour pickup, you will make your way south to explore the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum. Stroll through the streets of the Roman city of Pompeii and check the numerous different UNESCO archaeological sites, such as the Herculaneum.
Both archaeological sites feature the excavated ruins of alleyways and homes where you are free to explore. These locations are also fascinating in that archaeologists are still continuing to unearth the remains of a place forever locked in time.
Following your exploration of the ruins, drive up to Mount Vesuvius, the volcano that destroyed Pompeii 2,000 years ago. You can stop to enjoy the view of the Bay of Naples from the top, as you enjoy a delicious lunch. Know before you go
- For Chinese, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, and Russian languages, the local partner will provide audioguides inside the Pompeii and Herculaneum ruins
- During low-season, a live guide will be provided inside Pompeii & Herculaneum ruins as long as a minimum of 6 participants per language have been met. Up to 5 participants, the live guide will be replaced with an audioguide.
- The tour for Mt Vesuvius will be with a live guide in Spanish, Italian or English
- Please note that the starting time for the tour is 8 AM / 8:30 AM and pickup is provided around 30-40 minutes before; please contact the supplier to set your pickup time and meeting point
