Traveling back in time, you'll descend 40 meters below street level and emerge into the honeycombed underground of Naples and its haunting and mysterious history. On this 90-minute tour you'll see a few of the cavities excavated in the 4th century, and used as cisterns for the water supply of the city for nearly 23 centuries. The environment is spacious and illuminated, except for a short segment where there is an optional visit (each person is given a candle to light their own path). The walking surface is smooth and straight. See the air raid shelters from World War II, the War Museum, and the Hypogeum Gardens, as well as the Greek Roman aqueduct. You'll also visit the remains of the ancient Roman Theater of Neapolis, entering from the ground floor of a typical Neapolitan house. Emperor Nero kept a private dressing room here for the times he performed his shows in Naples. After thi...
Meet up directions were perfect. English was very good. The tour was supposed to start at 6pm, but started at 6:15pm. Nice tour to see what others cannot from the outside of Napoli, but it was rushed so as not to enjoy it as much. Lots of walking & stairs, so wear comfortable shoes. Very tight spaces to get through, about 1 foot at times. Nice little excursion to go on.
Skip the long lines and discover the remains of the Roman city. See ancient ruins, destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD, leaving the city buried under mountains of volcanic ash. Take advantage of an audio guide service to see houses and everyday items that are still almost intact. Experience this everyday Roman town, almost like it was under the Roman Empire.
Don't bother buying any kind of ticket for pompeii other than the official italian ONLINE ticket. there is no 'fast track' 'skip the queue' tickets. the only people who can skip the queue are the ones with the actual online Tickets. Not the getyourguide or any other kind of voucher tickets. also stay away from the Ticket office at the trainstation. even tho there are signs that it deals with getyourguide tickets, it is not the official Pompeii ticket office and they just waste your time there.

The Amalfi coast was beautiful and well worth the trip. unfortunately, we have issues with a couple on the bus constantly changing seats, which caused uncomfortable atmosphere with fellow passengers having to move around and be separated from their family. The Guide did nothing to correct this, even after I mentioned it to him on the 1st instance.

Visiting Pompeii and Vesuvius was an amazing and unforgettable experience without any doubt. Anyone who will go to Naples should visit those two places. Our tour guide Francesca, from the other hand, even though gave us all the infos that we needed to learn about Pompeii , was rude and not too easy to communicate especially in the beginning. It was our first time there we knew nothing about where to go or what to do and yet I wanted to ask a question and all I got back was to ignore me. So after that i didn't have much joy in listing to her. Another than that eveything was more than amazing!

Stop to taste some of the local limoncello liqueur made from lemons, and then wander the narrow streets for 1 hour. Pop into artisan shops and sample the local delicacies. Continue to Positano and get an hour to go to the beach or admire the colorful flowers in the summer. Shop for the traditional Moda Positano clothes before going to a nice restaurant on the coast to enjoy lunch on a terrace with breathtaking sea views. Great tour guide…but it was a little too much factual info and I would’ve wanted to see more of the cstacombs. Tour guide made it great, though.
