Full description
Start by meeting your guide at Piazza del Gesù, where some of the most prominent Neopolitan artists worked and lived in the 17th century. Pass by the Church of San Domenico Maggiore, for which Caravaggio painted "The Flagellation of Christ." This work is now preserved at Capodimonte Museum.
Discover the Pio the Monte Della Misericordia, where you will admire the "Seven Works of Mercy" that Caravaggio created for the foundation. The tour will proceed to the picture gallery for you to discover more notable local artworks.
