Don't bother buying any kind of ticket for pompeii other than the official italian ONLINE ticket. there is no 'fast track' 'skip the queue' tickets. the only people who can skip the queue are the ones with the actual online Tickets. Not the getyourguide or any other kind of voucher tickets. also stay away from the Ticket office at the trainstation. even tho there are signs that it deals with getyourguide tickets, it is not the official Pompeii ticket office and they just waste your time there.

Visiting Pompeii and Vesuvius was an amazing and unforgettable experience without any doubt. Anyone who will go to Naples should visit those two places. Our tour guide Francesca, from the other hand, even though gave us all the infos that we needed to learn about Pompeii , was rude and not too easy to communicate especially in the beginning. It was our first time there we knew nothing about where to go or what to do and yet I wanted to ask a question and all I got back was to ignore me. So after that i didn't have much joy in listing to her. Another than that eveything was more than amazing!

Well organized tour and well priced. My only recommendation is to allow more time for Mt. Vesuvius. Having only one hour to climb and descend was not enough time for us to fully aprreciate it.

    8. Pompeii: Half-Day Excursion from Naples or Sorrento

You’ll be picked up at your designated point of departure and travel by comfortable minibus or van to Pompeii on this half-day excursion to explore the ancient ruins of this famous Roman town. Ever since the ancient Greeks settled the area in the 8th century B.C. the region around Mount Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples attracted wealthy vacationers who came for the sun and the stunning scenery. By the turn of the first century A.D. the town of Pompeii, located about 5 miles from Mount Vesuvius, was a flourishing resort for Rome’s most distinguished citizens. Elegant houses and elaborate villas lined the paved streets. Tourists, townspeople and slaves bustled in and out of small factories and artisan shops, taverns and cafés and brothels and bathhouses. People gathered in the 20,000-seat arena and lounged in the open-air squares and marketplaces. Your tour guide will show you the most i...

Great trip with very good guide. Only negative thing was the transport to Pompei, pick up was 10 min late and then at one hotel the driver waited for more than 20 minutes for passengers that did not show up in the end. I think it it is enough to wait for max 10 min.

  • The Bourbon Tunnel Entrance Ticket

    10. The Bourbon Tunnel Entrance Ticket

Come and see enchanting scenery unfold before your eyes in a secret place full of history and atmosphere. This emotional journey conducts visitors through the new section of the underground of Naples. The Bourbon Tunnel was built in 1853 by Ferdinand II of Bourbon, who, concerned about the outbreak of the rebellion, asked for an escape from the Royal Palace to the barrack in Via della Pace, now Via Morelli. The work was not completed and, during the Second World War, was used by residents of the area as a military hospital, later becoming the Hall Judicial Deposit. The war left its mark even in the subsoil where we find handwritten messages of wish and desolation of those who lived there. In the tunnels you will also find statues dating back to the fascist period and a unique exhibition of many cars and motorcycles, abandoned for years and then freed from piles of rubbish, arranged and...

Suggestions: Wear closed shoes and comfy clothes. Have water with you. Carry teardrops if you have eye problem. Visit the toilet before the tour.

Really enjoyable and well run experience. Our tour guild Alisa I think that was her name was brilliant. From the moment we were collected to been dropped off felt really looked after. Lots of laugh and great information. Would 100% recommend this trip. From the Irish family of 3.

Robert, our guide, was super knowledgeable! He was also very funny. Although there was a hiccup with our Pompeii tickets (main office’s fault) that was cleared up and Robert communicated with us really well about how the rest of our day would flow.

We absolutely loved our guide! Ricardo was very informative and passionate about Pompeii. Even at the end of the tour he suggested things to see that he thought was interesting. You’ll be lucky to have him as a guide!

Wonderful trip, highly recommended! Everything was on time and smoothly organised. Pompeii is definitely a must see and in Positan we had an opportunity enjoy some stunning views! Safe drive through all serpantines!

An amazing trip around the island, Louisa our guide was very attentive and helpful.
