1. Nairobi: 4-Day Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru Camping Safari

Day one begins with pickup from Nairobi and travels along the Great Rift Valley towards the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Stop along the way to soak up the view from a magnificent lookout, then arrive at the park just in time for lunch. Later, set out on an epic evening game drive across the rich, tree-studded grasslands and rolling hills. The famous Maasai Mara is renowned for its great herds of black-maned lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and virtually every type of Kenyan wildlife. After a restful night’s sleep at your camp, enjoy a picnic-style breakfast to set you up for day two. Head out on a full-day game drive, with a visit to the Mara River which is home to a large concentration of animals. Once you’ve worked up a bit of an appetite, have lunch at a viewpoint overlooking the crocodiles and hippos lazing in the river. Afterward, you have the option to visit a Maasai cultural village to gain insight into the homes and social structure of the Maasai people as well as how they live in harmony with the environment and the animals. Wake up early on day three with another fantastic game drive, then re-energize with a late breakfast before departing to Nakuru National Park. Stop over for a picnic lunch along the way and soak up views of the magnificent Kenyan landscape that surrounds you. Arrive in Nakuru and, if time allows, pass by Naivasha for a boat ride, at your own expense. Day four begins with a hearty, early morning breakfast followed by a tour through Nakuru Park, which is home to over 350 species of birds including colorful flamingos. The park is also home to black and white rhinos and has been established for the protection of endangered species such as this. After an unforgettable four-day experience, relax and reflect on the return journey to your hotel or airport in Nairobi.

The experience was wonderful! Edwin, our driver and guide, was fully aware of finding animals and running towards the meeting when they told him where there was something interesting to see. 4 of the big 5 not bad…plus the many other animals we saw. The camp was great! George Masai at Villa Masai was lovely! The only detail is that there was a long delay to leave Nairobi but for those who already know, they know that it is chaos and you just have to relax because the adventure will be great! If I could request anything, I would request that they change all vehicles to the newer (and nicer) models (jeep) and no longer use the older vans

lodging: 9/10 nice bed & pillow, no bugs, clean food:9/10 good vegetarian alternative but no non dairy options location to park: 10/10 3 minute drive driver (Sammie):10/10 professional, well informed, drove us to animals in a safe fashion and knew where to go, responsive to group requests. The Best!!! Everything me and my adult daughter could have asked for in a Safari Safety at campsite: 10/10 guards on duity all night, secure campsite Amos in security was a joy to talk to around campfire

Wonderful we managed to see all the big five before lunch and last but not least we also managed to see a lion with its prey in its mouth! Ronald is a kind and experienced gentleman who led us throughout the safari, the facilities we stayed in were clean and equipped with the basic comforts necessary for this type of experience. The meals were also good, even if simple! I highly recommend this experience, the transfer from nairobi to masai mara takes about five and a half hours

PERFECT SAFARI WITH MOSES! I saw all of the Big 5 before 2pm. I stayed in the tent and felt comfortable the entire time. This was very important because I am female solo traveler. The food was also amazing. There is an upscale option that I saw when picking up the other group and they had wi-fi and a bar. But for only two nights I could stick it out with limited electricity in the tents. I was surprised that the tents had their own bathrooms, major plus!
