From Nairobi: Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center Day Tour

1. From Nairobi: Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center Day Tour

After getting picked up from your hotel in Nairobi, head to the Giraffe Center, where you can see giraffes living in a semi-wild state. Learn about their behaviors, traits and conservation efforts. You will also get the opportunity to feed these gentle giants. Next, head to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Take a walk through the center where baby elephants wait to be fed. Watch them play in the water and gargle their milk and discover each of the elephant's personal story. Once the youngest are fed, its time to feed the 2-3-year-olds, some of whom are old enough to feed themselves. Watch as they hold their giant milk bottles in their trunks and make quick work of several gallons of milk. Your final stop before heading back to Nairobi will be the Karen blixxen Meseum Of house of Out Africa fame

The elephant orphanage and giraffe centre trip was an incredible experience and not to be missed. A great opportunity to get up close to and learn more about the animals and the excellent care they receive. Our guide was friendly and informative, with great communication, and even took us to additional locations like the bead factory. Would highly recommend doing this while in Nairobi

Very nice, informed and informative driver Kazungu, great stay and best view while feeding the elephants. Also learned interesting facts there. Feeding the giraffes is just as nice. Slight ambiguity in the process of what is included in the tour package. Too long stay in the expensive souvenir area. All in all a very worthwhile tour.

Isaiah is a pleasant guide and good driver. The park is fenominal. There are no words.
