Full description
Following pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi, travel to Hell's Gate National Park, approximately 2 to 2.5 hours drive from the city center. Sit back and relax on the journey as you take in the views of the plains and Lake Naivasha. Learn about the remarkable plants and animals that thrive in the park, including over 130 species of birds. Upon arrival, get the opportunity to walk with the animals in their natural environment. Marvel at the towering red cliffs, deep gorges and basalt columns of the park on foot. Experience the thrill of seeing large, plant-eating animals while outside the vehicle. Encounter great herds of zebra thundering past baboons, buffalo, hartebeest and more.  Then, break for lunch at a nearby restaurant and taste the regional food of Kenya as you mingle with the local Maasai tribes in a casual setting. Continue to Elsamere Conservation Center at the edge of Lake Naivasha, and hear how the former home of Joy and George Adamson now supports a troop of black and white colobus monkeys that you can see playing in the acacia trees and peaceful gardens. Journey back to Nairobi and get dropped off at your hotel at the end of the tour services.

Cool one day tour

Driver was friendly and punctual. Picked me up at the hotel and drove me directly to the National Park. The park is really nice and it's walkable, unlike other parks. It offers great views. I did a two hour walk down in the gorges (Needed to pay extra for this, and I wasn't told) but it was worth it. After that we went to Naivaisha Lake which was ok. The boat safari isn;t included and also needs to be paid extra.

Great trip. I recommend the tour by bike. So rent a bike in the park. That was really great. Many thanks to tour guide Julian!

James was an excellent host, and he made every effort to guide us.

James was an enthusiastic host and a great conversationalist. He made every effort to get us close to the animals, and interact; and he helped us connect with the best guides for the descent into the gorge, as well as the boat tour. Thank you, James!
