Personable

Meg, our guide was friendly, personable and speaks good English. Perhaps the company should give background information of the local sights and attractions that the guides can use rather than depend on their own knowledge. The company should also provide some suggested itineraries rather than solely asking us what we want to see. Of course, it can be flexible and include requests by us but to leave it entirely to us is a bit too much to ask of us. It is precisely that we do not know the place that we are depending on a guided tour to show us must-see and interesting places. Some out of the beaten path points of interest or food places would make the tour different from run-of- the-mill tours. We accept that these are not professional guides but some history of Nagasaki, being such a historic and important gateway to Japan, would definitely make the tour more informative. I would still go for the tour as it saved us time getting to the places and Meg was herself very interesting.

Lavi was a lovely student who was very knowledgeable about Nagasaki and showed us around and added her spin and comment to our questions. It is so much fun to be taken around by someone who can answer all your questions and get involved in a healthy discussion about all manner of topics. Lavi added so much to our tour about Nakasaki that I hope that you get her to guide you around.
