Mykonos: Full-Day Off-Road Safari

2. Mykonos: Full-Day Off-Road Safari

Get behind the wheel of a jeep and spend the day exploring the rugged landscapes of Mykonos. Access parts of the island that other vehicles can't reach. Depart from the Old Port of Mykonos Town and drive along the coast to Houlakia Beach. Continue up to the lighthouse for some panoramic views, and then make your way through Marathi. Pass Panormos Beach on the drive to Agios Sostis Bay. Enjoy the peace and quiet of Ano Mera, and stop to admire the ruins of Gyzi Castle, a Venetian castle at Paleokastro. Discover an old abandoned mine as you explore the area around Ano Mera, far from the hustle and bustle of Mykonos Town. Stop for lunch at a picturesque spot before continuing along the south coast past Kalafatis and Kalo Livadi. Continue through the lush green area of Halara. Take in the stunning views from Agrari Beach, where you can enjoy a coffee and cool down with a swim in the sea. Head back to Mykonos Town via the old castle and get dropped off at the Old Port.

Armenistis Lighthouse Visit

3. Armenistis Lighthouse Visit

Experience the old lighthouse, which stands like a sentinel over the Armenistis area and is a testimony to Mykonos' maritime history, while still remaining fully functional today. In order to visit the Armenistis lighthouse, take the road from Agios Stefanos. At the location of "Fanari" which translates to "lantern" in Greek, the scenic coastal road also offers some of the most spectacular views on the island just 6.5km from Mykonos Town. Learn a lot of interesting facts about the light house, which was manufactured in 1891. The altitude of tower is 19 metres and the height of focal plane is 184 meters. The mechanism of the first lamp of "Armenistis" is exposed outside by the building of Aegean Naval Museum. Visit the Armenistis lighthouse because of the breath-taking scenery around it. From there you can see all the boats arriving at and departing from Mykonos, while Tinos island looks as if it is right next to you. Its strategic position offers scenic views of the surrounding areas and is well worth visiting to get a sense of the island’s fascinating history and enjoy its spectacular beauty.

What people are saying about Mykonos Town

The magnificent sunset, an incredible view! Good communication with the organizer, the lovely driver! A very good experience for me Be careful the wind is very strong, no cap or hat, otherwise it will fly away lol

The tour takes you to the most beautiful and remote corners of Mykonos. Beautiful and far away from mass tourism. The 4x4s are really fun, we even had one to ourselves.

Nice, affordable, quick trip to the lighthouse. Spectacular views! Well worth it!

Great experience! Magnificent photos for a beautiful unforgettable EVJF memory!

A day spent reaching the less known and touristic places of Mykonos.
