Top sights in New York City
Definitely one of New York's most impressive museums, MoMA is itself architecturally as striking as the artworks housed within. For some help with how to make the most of your time, here are some tips and advice.
MoMA is open daily from 10:30AM to 5:30PM (except on Christmas and Thanksgiving) and open until 8:00PM for UNIQLO Free Fridays, which tend to be busy.
With 6 floors of exhibits, it's worth looking at a museum map online before you visit. There are also tours and free talks daily between 11:30AM and 1:30PM.
The painting and sculpture galleries are on the 4th and 5th floors and can be a great point to start exploring if you can't make up your mind where to begin.
Included in the price of admission, these interesting audio tours can give you far greater insight into the exhibits. Just remember, you need to leave ID to take a tour!
MoMA also houses multiple bars and restaurants. Why not take a break from the galleries and enjoy some of the wonderful cuisine on offer?
MoMA displays iconic works by artists like Henri Matisse, and is such an important architectural structure itself, so it's very popular for tourists and you may have to queue to enter the galleries. But don't worry; even on UNIQLO Free Fridays (from 4:00PM to 8:00PM) the line tends to move quickly. If you're worried, you can purchase a ticket in advance to save time.
The price of checking your coat and bags is included in the admission price, and is definitely recommended before you set off around the museum. But be aware that even in warm weather, sometimes the galleries can be a little cold, so bring a sweater!
Gift shops may not be high on your list of priorities (or budget) but the MoMA shop really is exceptional and worth taking a look at on your way out of the museum.

What people are saying about Museum of Modern Art
We found the pass to be worth it when we added up the costs of what we did and what it would have cost to do them by paying separately. The pdf information the pass provided on the 100 included attractions was most helpful and maybe we could have gotten that from other sources but it worked out well for us to plan our itinerary from the list of things the pass would pay for. Not all of our activities that we did in NY were covered, but that still was OK. You need to calculate how much you think you're going to do on your trip to determine if it's good for you. We did not feel like we were running all over to do things to make it worth it, but we were busy most days all day long.
A wonderful experience. We are only in New York for a short time - this tour could not have been better and has made us want to come back for more! Our tour guides depth of knowledge, giving an insider's perspective and small intimate group image this tour wonderful.
I definitely recommend this gallery for enthusiasts of modern American art. The building is spectacular with excellent views of lower Manhattan and the Highline from the various balconys. Booking on GetYourGuide allowed me to use the (much) shorter pre-buy queue.
We bought the pass and I was a bit worried that we wouldn’t get our monies worth but it exceeded expectations. We saw so many sights included was hop on hop off bus and water taxi. Easy to use and good value for money.
Great instrument. Although people forget that tourists are there to visit and be the ambassodor for the next visitors and are not there to be stolen from.
