Lucia was a great guide and I learned so much form her. She also used her connections to find out when the next botafumeiro would be used, so because of her, I was able to attend a mass to see it in action! I did this tour in conjunction with a group night tour, but even though some of the tour covered the same ground, the information and focus of each tour was very different, so one really complemented the other. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants it to to know the backstories about what you’re looking at.

Historic sites and museums on this scale can be very overwhelming and thus become boring. Our guide really did a great job of focusing on the important and most interesting aspects and constructing an intriguing and memorable narrative. I don't think we would have gotten as much out of it on our own. It was worth every penny.

Absolutely perfect and very interesting tour of the history of Santiago de Compostela. We were even lucky enough to see the botofumerio swinging at the end of 1930 mass.

Reservation the night before Private tour for 3 as we had an 85 year old mum. Exciting visit and excellent guide (Meri) very sharp and speaking French very well

Excellent tour. We learned so much about Santiago Cathedral and Museum.
