You will be picked up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh city between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Then you will travel in an air-conditioned vehicle for around 4 hours to reach the Moses Mountain.  When you arrive at Mount Sinai you will start your trekking tour to the sacred place where the Prophet Moses received the 10 commandments. Reach 2,285 meters by climbing up 750 steps, strolling through the night (approx 2-3 hours depending on the customers). Depending on the performance of the group, you may arrive at the summit earlier than expected. This will give you a chance to really relax and marvel at the rising sun slowly scattering across the mountains in all its splendor.  While gazing at the sunrise, snap awesome photos or pray if you wish to, then begin the descent back down. Remember, it will take around 2 hours to reach the bottom. Enjoy some time to rest after the long trail and then have breakfast.  Next, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of St. Catherine's Monastery. Browse through the old manuscripts displayed in the library and icons excavated from the Vatican.  It is the oldest functioning Christian monastery in the world situated on the Sinai Peninsula along with the Monastery of Saint Anthony which is located across the Red Sea in the desert of South Cairo. After you've finished touring the monastery, you can relax on the drive back to your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh.

What people are saying about Mount Sinai

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! MUST VISIT! We were picked up at 20:30pm and we arrived at around 12 midnight. We waited in the queue for 30mins and we started to hike the mountain and it took us 3.5 hours to get to the top, we stopped and multiply places to rest, fairly easy to hike, but depending on each individual. The top part of the mountain for 20mins was alittle hard, it had steps which makes you tired but easy if you take rest on the way. On the top you can visit the mosque and pray inside and church is closed. The cave on the mountain is opened and you can sit and pray there. Once on the top it’s really cold and windy, need good pair of walking shoes, warm cloths, big coat, gloves warm hat! Take an extra torch as they have only afew. You need cash to buy tea water and snacks on the mountain. Some toilets on the mountain charge you 10 Egyptian pounds to use the service. Once you are back from the mountain the tour guide takes you to visit the Burning bush and the well!

One of the best days of my life. The drive from the hotel to climbing site was very comfortable and quick. We made one stop on our way to Mount Sinai and got to the climbing site a few minutes after the first stop. The tour guides were well informed and so supportive and helpful during the ascend. There are a couple of stops where you can rest and reenergize during the climb. The climb itself is quite challenging, but the support you get from the tour guides and other climbers is helpful. The hardest part is when you reach the 750 right before the summit. I almost gave up but the tour guides kept me going and rested with me when needed. There are blankets and hot drinks at the last stop before the last 100 steps. The view at the top was absolutely worth it! I would definitely do it again.

This was such a lovely trip. The climb was a little tough but taken nice and slow..well worth renting the blanket at the top as very cold and around am hour wait. The visit to st Catherine was a rush and the guide allocated spent too much time on talking about some of the history so we didn't get enough time to look around..when you are tired after being awake all night you just need the basic details . But the rest of the trip was amazing. The driver and guide for the trip were brilliant.. I left my phone on the bus and had no contact details for them, but they went out if their way to return to the hotel to return my phone. Highly recommended but take gloves, hat, warm clothes etc. As a single female I felt safe the whole time

It was a great experience, we were picked up from the hotel and taken to the mountain and monastery. The climb is tough, especially in winter. It is cold on the climb and very cold at the top where the wind is punishing. Given the choice I would have rather climbed during the day instead of trying to catch sunrise. The St. Catherine's tour was a bit short and we only saw a couple of places, by that time though, we were all tired and just wanted to go to bed.

You have to have done this tour, even if it is really exhausting. It is exactly like the pictures and even more beautiful! i would do it again Thanks.
