First, stop at the Kravica falls, one of the best-kept secrets of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The falls created by the river Trebizat provide a relaxing background for swimming and picnics in summer. Then, continue to your next stop, the city of Mostar. Join your local guide for a tour of the narrow cobblestone streets of the old town. Then marvel at the Old Bridge that crosses the river Neretva. Our driver Daniel was fantastic. He was personable, warm and funny and he made the trip so much fun. The waterfalls are worth the visit but there isn’t anything to do if you don’t plan to swim (so take your swimsuit!). Mostar is beautiful and well worth the trip, I highly recommend it. In Mostar you are met by a guide who takes over from the driver, The guide in Mostar is knowledgeable but slightly prickly when you ask questions that don’t fit in with his narrative of what happened during the war. He can also be deliberately obtuse, he bristled when I asked where the tourism information office was and did not tell me! I had to ask at the mosque and they told me where to go. Going to the tourism office was worth it as the guide doesn’t tell you what the sights are. The guided tour in Mostar should be kept to 45mins to allow more exploration time. The last stop were ruins in pocitelj it was worth a look, but it was really hot and we were exhausted. We did it all the same :)

We would give 5 stars for our (female) driver. She drove very well and gave good and clear explanations about what we saw and passed in both Croatia and Bosnia. However, we only give 4 stars because the guide in Mostar was disappointing. The man was clearly high and didn't feel like giving a tour. He already prepared his shisha pipe during the closing video…

Drazen is a truly amazing tour guide who went above and beyond to make sure everyone was having a great experience with lots of information and answered every question in great detail regarding history, culture, politics etc. Best trip I’ve done this whole holiday and actually across Europe. Beautiful city, time and people. I was also very Lucky to have a cool Group, with which we all made friendships to last and will definitely return to this Beautiful place again in the future without any hesitation/doubt. A MUST see!
