Full description
Begin the experience with a walking tour which will introduce you to Moscow's most interesting and worthwhile sights, such as Red Square, GUM, St. Basil's Cathedral, Lenin's Tomb, Alexander Garden and the Grave of the Unknown Soldier, and the Bolshoi Theatre.  See the majority of the city from a scenic viewpoint on the roof of the largest toyshop, while hearing historical background comments and stories about grand princes, tsars, emperors, and communist leaders and how they have changed Moscow's landscape. Discover the best cultural and historical heritage monuments that Moscow has to offer, as well as the most wonderful of its cityscape and vibrant urban life. The excursion includes a ticket to the observation deck as well as lunch at the Moscow Cafe. After two hours for lunch, delve into Moscow's metro stations, famous for their combination of cultural value and sheer functionality. Visit the best stations of the Soviet period designed between 1934-1960 by outstanding architects and engineers. Compare different styles and take in the beauty of the underground on a 30 to 50-minute tour. Finally, visit Bunker-42, the only museum in the world devoted to the war between the USSR and the USA at a depth of 213 feet below ground in the very heart of Moscow, also known as "facility-02" (1947), CHZ-293 (1951), CHZ-572 (1953), and GO-42 (from 1980), and now Exhibition Complex Bunker-42. Take the unique opportunity to visit a once-secret military complex, bunker, and communication center with an area of 75,000 square feet and a depth of 65 meters. Approximately 600 people could live and work in the complex for 30 days without assistance from the outside world, thanks to the storage of food and medicine, an air recycling system, and diesel generators.
