Fuerteventura: Sailing with Snorkeling and Dolphin Watching

1. Fuerteventura: Sailing with Snorkeling and Dolphin Watching

Spot dolphins, whales, and other sea mammals in their natural habitat on this catamaran cruise along Fuerteventura’s southern coast. Enjoy swimming and snorkeling with the gear provided. Relax onboard with some tapas and a drink.  Start with a visit to the harbor to marvel at the beautiful manta rays that live here and watch this beautiful creature swimming along the bottom of the sea floor. After the manta ray viewing, it's time to hop on board your sailing boat for the day for a short briefing of the day’s itinerary. Then it’s time to set sail and leave the harbor. Heading out towards the open seas the captain will bring up the sails and turn off the engine. Listen to the radio communications from local fishermen and listen out for sightings of marine wildlife, including dolphins and whales. If they’re in the area, the captain will sail the boat towards them for the chance to take some photos and admire these elegant creatures up close. During the rest of the sail, enjoy the stunning sea views that surround you and soak up the glorious Fuerteventura sunshine. After about 2 hours of sailing, your captain will drop anchor, giving you some time to go swimming and snorkeling in the shimmering blue waters. After your swim, enjoy a selection of tapas made from local recipes and relax with a drink as you sail back to shore.

What people are saying about Morro Jable

Fab day from start to finish. Jose met us at the harbour with 6 others. The boat was beautiful & so clean. Items (bags, shoes etc) are left downstairs in the living quarters and the fun is had on deck. Jose explained the day to us all & then sailed in style. Jose told us where to look for the dolphins & whales, explaining how all the boats out at sea communicate with each other should any be spotted. We stopped near the bay to swim in the sea / sunbathe on deck then delicious tapas were served - all tastes were catered for - veggies & meat eaters. There were drinks (alcoholic/non-alcoholic) a plenty throughout the day, either help yourself or Jose served. Amazing experience, we will definitely book again (directly with Flounders). Note: we were told to meet outside the Restaurant Cofradia so we paid for a taxi there. However, Jose had collected the others from their hotels, one being next to ours! Check with the guide/Skipper in advance. Jose drove us back - thank you.

Experienced a few wonderful hours with a great skipper "Miguel"! Unfortunately we could not see any larger sea creatures. But the skipper had a great playlist (very good music), a few well-chilled drinks and snacks on board. With an extremely quiet drive and a snorkeling and swimming break, the time unfortunately passed much too quickly. Many thanks to "Miguel"!!! Highly Recommended.

Very good organizer and skipper. We saw dolphins and it was all very good. However, one should keep in mind that it is a sailing boat and that it can also go into an inclined position when the sails are set. If someone has problems with seasickness or their bones, it is better to speak to the organizer beforehand. Can only recommend the tour.

Trip was very good, unfortunately didn’t see any dolphins or whales etc, the captain and team were all very good, entertainment was great and captain spoke various languages to accommodate everyone. Should definitely be a part of your Fuerteventura experience.

Very beautiful! The weather was great, the sea was pretty calm and the glass bottom boat team was super nice!
