1. From Brisbane: Bribie Island 4WD Nature Adventure

Your guide begins the adventure by letting the tires down on the 4WD and hitting the surf beach. Make your way towards Fort Bribie WWII Bunkers along the sand. Stop to view wildlife and the various lagoons along the way. After an informative, historical tour of the WWII bunkers, this is when the real adventure begins! The scenery changes from rugged Australian bush to open forests, swampy wetlands and dirt roads, all in the blink of an eye as you head inland and hit the 4WD tracks of the Bribie Island National Park. Following a stop for lunch, enjoy the opportunity to see local kangaroos, goannas and other wildlife at Poverty Creek. Next enjoy the serenity and the stunning views of The Glass House Mountains. After a picnic lunch and group photo in front of the Pumicestone Passage, continue along the 4WD track to White Patch.

Stop to admire the scenery of Great Sandy National Park, and take in the impressive views from the Double Island Point Lighthouse. Keep a look out for turtles, sharks, manta rays, and pods of dolphins in their natural environment, along with majestic humpback whales between June and October. Get exclusive access to the lighthouse to discover parts of the popular spot you might otherwise miss. Take photos of the dramatic Red Canyon and Coloured Sands, and watch a demonstration of the traditional techniques of the Aborigines. Brilliant day out

I, my husband and son, went on the Great Beach Drives 4WD Tour to Rainbow Beach (not Mooloolaba). We were picked from our apartment by Craig, our driver and guide for the day, along with another couple. Craig was very friendly and really informative about the area, the history and the wildlife. We drove up 40 mile beach to a picnic spot for morning tea and cake, then on to Double Island Point and the lighthouse, where we were lucky enough to see Humpback Whales, Dolphins, Turtles and Rays. We drove back down to the beach for a swim, and then over to Rainbow Beach for lunch and a stroll along the beach. Craig explained how Rainbow Beach got it's name (I'll not spoil the surprise) and then we headed back along the beach to Noosa. This is a brilliant, great value for money, day out. Craig was a great guide and I especially appreciated how he engaged with our son (he'll know what I mean). Would definitely recommend this trip.

The trip was unique. You have enough time to look at everything in peace and to bathe. You are not all alone, but the beach is anything but crowded. At lunch there was no other car in sight. Our guide explained everything great.

Jason was superb, he is very knowledgeable and extremely dedicated. We enjoyed the tour very much! Highly recommend!

Tour was fantastic. Guide was great. Very easy half day tour.
