Miguel took us to Castillo Viejo on a private tour. It's a small winery that Alexandra and the owners showed us on a Monday. Without exception, all of them proved to be very gracious hosts and were just as interested in us guests and our well-being as we were in them and their qualitatively and economically excellently managed business! We had booked lunch and, in addition to the extremely informative tasting of excellent wines, we were able to enjoy an equally excellent lunch. Our guide Miguel speaks excellent English and provided us with countless good information and tips on the return trip to the Las Piedras wine-growing region, which we would not have found out about so soon without him. We will always remember this trip very well!

Excellent Wine, Excellent Discussion, Excellent Comapny

Ryan did a great job. First working out logistics of picking us up and dropping us off was great (we were in a rented Air BnB). Communications were very good. Driving to the winery allowed Ryan to tell some good stories and give some history of Uruguay. When we got to the winery it was a family owned winery called Pizzorno. The great grandson of the founder gave us an educational tour and provide a very nice tasting of multiple wines plus some lovely homemade empanadas. After we returned from the tour I messaged Ryan later in the week to get some restaurant tips and he provided some great suggestions.
